Call it what you will…Trickle Down Effect, Stimulus Package or Bail Out…IT”S NOT WORKING! So I am forced to propose my “Trickle Up” package to the American people.

As our government continues to pour billions upon billions of hard earned taxpayers dollars into corporate giants that for whatever reasons, accounting, planning, management are STILL posting astronomical losses every quarter and STILL laying off millions of people across the country. There are other factors, but I am not writing this to point fingers.

The only people that are benefiting from this trickle down - bail out are stock holders, greedy CEO's and of course…corrupt politicians. I will stop there because I am not writing this to point fingers.

This 1 trillion plan (and growing), is turning out to be a corporate free for all, world political news nightmare and CEO's are laughing all the way to the bank as the people are losing their jobs, houses and dignity as they fill out applications for unemployment, welfare and food stamps.

The Plan:

Divide the 1.5 trillion dollars among every taxpayer (full-time or part-time) in the United State of America.

Some estimates have this “great plan” costing well over 1.8 trillion dollars but I am going to use a conservative 1.5 trillion dollar figure.

$1,500,000,000,000 (Est. Stimulus/Bail Out Figure)
÷ 138,000,000 (Number of taxpayers in 2007)

$10,869 per taxpayer

That's right…PER TAXPAYER…not per household. Talk about stimulating the economy! Below I will outline a few examples of just how this is a “Trickle Up” effect.

Example #1: Mr. & Mrs. Smith $10,869 x 2 = $21,738
Small home addition or interior/exterior renovations…

They hire a contractor; the contractor in turn must hire laborers, carpenters. He also sub-contracts an electrical contractor, roofing contractor, plumbing contractor, drywall contractor, and tile installer. Just think of the number of jobs that would be created in this scenario across the United States! Suppliers must hire more employees at the lumber mill, tile factory, cabinet shops and carpet mills. Truckers are back on the road, bringing these supplies to warehouses around the country. Besides Lowe's and Home Depot's…mom and pop hardware stores also would also flourish with all the do-it-yourselfers parading through the doors. Let's not forget about the permits that would have to be submitted and the money it would generate for local cities and counties.

Example #2: Mr. & Mrs. Johnson $10,869 x 2 = $21,738
Get's a second chance to keep their home

Think of how many American's would get that second chance they need to avoid foreclosure. Banks in return would not be “stuck” with defunct loans and millions of homes that people are just flat out walking away from.

Example #3: Mr. & Mrs. Jones $10,869 x 2 = $21,738
New family mini van…

Think of how many families would buy a new vehicle. Besides Mr. and Mrs. Jones…millions of Americans would also go shopping for that car they had their eye on but have been holding out until they saved a little more for that down payment or just did not have that kind of expendable cash. Local independent car dealerships now can keep their doors open and hire sales reps. Auto manufacturers get the infusion they need. Remember, we build foreign and domestic automobiles in this county and these factories have been laying off workers in staggering amounts. Under my plan….jobs would be created.

$10,000

What would you do with an extra $10,869?

Pay down debt….purchase a new vehicle….buy a new home….remodel an existing home….help pay for college….go out to local restaurants….go on a vacation…invest in the stock market or just plain spoil yourself on a big ticket item you've always wanted?

Spend…that is the only way to “stimulate” and “infuse” money into the economy. But government thinks it can spend your money for you under their plan and correct the problem they created.
You never know…their plan just might work…look at what a wonderful job they did with Social Security. Ouch…
